In API 20NE, positive for esculin hydrolysis, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase and β -galactosidase. Utilize D-glucose. Does not utilize L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, potassium gluconate, capric acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, adipic acid and phenylacetic acid. Strain MMS21-SJ6-8 (= NNIBR2021642BA47) has been isolated from a freshwater sample, Okcheon-gun, Korea.
