Chinese common name: 塔üǟnă

( Figs 9–12 View FIGURES 1–20 , 37–38 View FIGURES 29–44 , 54, 58 View FIGURES 45–60 )

Material examined. Holotype, ♂, China: Yunnan ( IZCAS): Weixi, Tacheng , 13–14.VII.2014, leg. Xinxin LI, slide no. Geom-2882, IOZ LEP M 16907 . Paratypes. China: 2♂ 1♀, data same as holotype, slide no. Geom-2883, 2943, IOZ LEP M 16913, 16905, 14388 .

Diagnosis. Discussed in next new species account.

Description ( Figs 9–12 View FIGURES 1–20 ). Head. Antenna white on dorsal side. Frons and labial palpus greyish brown, slightly tinged with yellowish-brown; lower part of frons paler. Vertex white, base faintly tinged with yellowish green.

Thorax. Dorsum white; patagia and base of tegulae faintly yellowish green. Legs white. Wings. Ground color white, lines grey, faintly tinged with greyish yellow, moderately broad; grey striations sparse. Forewing length: ♂ 26–27 mm, ♀ 28 mm. Forewing with antemedial line oblique, distinctly nearer to postmedial line on inner margin than on costa. Postmedial line straight; discal spot slender, not reaching costa; terminal line extremely thin, dark grey; fringes white; outer margin straight. Hind wing with postmedial line originating from vein M 1, where about 2 mm to upper angle of discal cell, extending obliquely to near distal end of CuA 2; outer margin straight from apex to M 1, with a distinct shoulder at M 1, tail small, about 2.5– 3 mm in length, with two spots at base, anterior one orange-yellow, small, bordered with black scales except outer margin, inner side diffused sparse black scales, anterior and posterior borders with dense black scales, and area larger than orange-yellow part; posterior spot black, small or nearly obsolete; faint greyish black shading present between two spots. Terminal line absent. Fringes pale yellow to light orange-yellow; white at apex, upper margin of shoulder, distal half of tail, and below CuA 2. Underside. White, transverse lines on both wings and discal spot of forewing discernible.

Abdomen. Abdomen white, with setal comb on males third sternite.

Male genitalia ( Figs 37–38 View FIGURES 29–44 ). Uncus curved and spine-like, base expanded into small blunt lateral projections. Socii membranous, barely extending beyond uncus base. Gnathos with median process tongue-shaped, length and width similar. Furca developed on right side, robust, distal one fifth sharply bent with a row of short spines, only reaching base of costa. Saccus rounded. Valva simple, apex elliptically rounded, mostly covered with setae of varying length except near apex. costa slightly convex medially; sacculus straight; aedeagus cylindrical, uniform in width; cornuti composed of two bundles of spines-one with longer, about twice of aedeagus diameter and another with shorter spines, two thirds of aedeagus diameter; a strongly sclerotized triangular patch present beside the spinose bundle.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 54 View FIGURES 45–60 ). Posterior apophyses about five times as long as anterior apophyses. Lamella postvaginalis elongated. Colliculum small, length slightly longer than width, located at posterior end of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae uniform in width. Corpus bursae flattened oval. Signum circular, positioned mid-ventrally; disc nearly rounded, about three fifth of signum diameter, width of frill narrower at anterior side than posterior side, bears few central minute spines; margin evenly decorated with spines in varying length, the longest slightly longer than one fourth of signum diameter.

Distribution. China ( Yunnan).
