Gall: on stem, fusiform, green, with brown trichomes ( Fig.6A View Figure 6 ). Gall-inducer: Cecidomyiidae . Carneiro et al. (2009) reported galls on several congeneric species in MG. Maia (2001) and Rodrigues et al. (2014) recorded galls on Lepidaploa rufogrisea (A. St.-Hill.) H. Rob. in RJ (as Vernonia rufo-grisea A. St.-Hill.).
