Gall: on stem, fusiform, brown, glabrous, multichambered ( Fig. 11G View Figure11 ). Gall-inducer: Cecidomyiidae . Trail: Teresópolis: Suspensa ( 25.XI.2021).

Flor et al. (2018) reported the same stem gall on Ocotea elegans in RJ.
