Diagnosis. Ariadna lemosi n. sp. is similar to A. caparao n. sp. due to the morphology of the male palp ( Figs 65A‒B View FIGURE 65 , 66F‒G View FIGURE 66 ), but differs by the straight metatarsi I ( Fig. 66E View FIGURE 66 ), chelicerae without lameliform distal dorsoprolateral projections, and abdomen light grey dorsally with a diffuse dark dorsal pattern of transversal bands ( Fig. 66A‒B View FIGURE 66 ).
Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honor of the spider systematist and friend Rafael Yuji Lemos, who has helped André M. Giroti since its first works on taxonomy and systematics.
Description. Male ( Holotype). Carapace and chelicerae reddish brown ( Fig. 66A View FIGURE 66 ). Endites orange; labium dark orange. Sternum orange, with darker margins, and three pairs of fainted dark marginal areas ( Fig. 66B View FIGURE 66 ). Palps yellow ( Fig. 66F‒G View FIGURE 66 ). Legs orange, with pairs I‒II darker and with dark pigment forming diffuse rings in the distal region of metatarsi and tarsi ( Fig. 66C‒E View FIGURE 66 ). Abdomen grey, lighter dorsally, with a diffuse dark dorsal pattern ( Fig. 66A‒B View FIGURE 66 ). Total length 6.72; carapace 3,28 long, 2.36 wide. Palps: tibia incrassated, with the dorso-ventral diameter equal to the bulb; bulb sub-rectangular, mid-portion and embolus with almost the same lenght; embolus tapered, with a sinuous tubular tip ( Fig. 66F‒G View FIGURE 66 ). Legs: slender and coated with setae ( Fig. 66C‒E View FIGURE 66 ); tarsi II slightly inflated ventrally, compared to the others; tarsal brush of putative chemosensory setae present in legs I‒IV, but reduced in leg I. Leg formula: I-II-IV-III. Leg measurements: I, femur 3.12, patella 1.08, tibia 2.48, metatarsus 2.44, tarsus 0.68, total 9.8; II, 2.92, 1.08, 2.56, 2.4, 0.68, 9.64; III, 2.0, 0.92, 1.48, 1.6, 0.68, 6.68; IV, 2.48, 1.12, 1.92, 1.68, 0.64, 7.84. Macrosetae: I, femur D0-0-0-0-1/0-1-0; tibia P0-1-0-1-0-1-0, vp0-0-0-0-0-1-0, vr1-0-0-1-0-1-0, R0-1- 0-1-0-1-0; metatarsus vp1-0-0-1-0-0-1, vr1-0-0-1-0-0-1, r0-1-0-0-0-0-0; II, femur D0-0-0-0-0-1-0; tibia P0-1-0-1- 0-1/0-0, vp0-0-0-1-0-1-0, vr1/2-0-1-0-1-0-1, R0-1-0-1-0-1-0; metatarsus vp1-0-0-1-0-0-1, vr1-0-0-1-0-0-1, r0-1-0- 0-0-0-0; IV, femur D1-1-0-0-0-0-0; metatarsus vr metatarsal comb with 4-5 macrosetae.
