Length. Body 2.3 mm, wing 2.8 mm.

Distribution. Europe: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (including Corsica), Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia. Asia: Western part (Middle East, Georgia and Uzbekistan) ( Shamshev 2016).
Remarks. This is the first report of the P. longiseta from Central Anatolia (Kýrþehir province) after its recording by Grootaert (2008) in the Aegean region ( Aydin province), and in the Mediterranean region ( Mersin province) by Pârvu & Popescu-Mirceni (2006).
