Archaediscoidea with a microgranular dark wall dominant, and a subordinate inner hyaline pseudofibrous and yellow outer layer ( Ammarchaediscinae = Planoarchaediscinae), or a remaining important dark layer ( Uralodiscinae ). Test entirely involute, oscillant, sygmoidal to planispiral. Aperture terminal simple. Early Visean (MFZ10)–Serpukhovian.
