Recognition: Synnevrus ohli is unique among Arabian Nyssonni in having the combination of a continuous white band on the pronotum, a white basal spot on the scutellum and white lateral spots on T 1–3 only (in rare cases also on T4). The base of T1 is usually black, but may be red in males and females.

Distribution: Oman, Saudi Arabia and UAE ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 33–36 ). It is by far the commonest species of Nyssonini on the Arabian Peninsula. The specimens from the UAE were already published by Schmid-Egger (2011, 2014). The records from Oman are the first records for that country.

Remark: Synnevrus ohli was described in Synnevrus . This genus was synonymized with Nysson by Nemkov & Lelej (2013), and the corresponding species were consequently placed in Nysson by Nemkov (2017). However, we consider Synnevrus to be a valid genus, and the species is again listed under this genus. See introduction for details.
