R e m a r k s. Kidston (1923) recorded several other Rhacopteris species from the lower Clackmannan Group but in most cases, there were no accompanying illustrations or voucher specimens in his collection ( R. inaequilaterata (GÖPP.) STUR , R. lindsaeformis (BUNBURY) KIDST. , R. petiolata (GÖPP.) KIDST. ). The systematic position of Rhacopteris remains uncertain but based on the rachial anatomy Galtier et al. (1997) suggested possible lyginopteridealean affinities.
