Type species. Blatta oblongata Linnaeus, 1758 [currently Pseudomops oblongatus View in CoL ].
Diagnosis (English). Aposematic species, reminiscent of Calayotlus Estrada-Álvarez & Sormani, 2018 . They differ in: males 1) tergal structures in T-3 and T-4 (absent in Calayotlus ); 2) simpler paraprocts and styles (much modified in Calayotlus ); 3) R2d lamellar (spinous in Calayotlus ); 4) females with the posterior edge of the supra-anal plate rounded (truncated in Calayotlus ). / (Spanish). Especie aposemática, que recuerda a Calayotlus Estrada-Álvarez y Sormani, 2018 . Se diferencian en: machos 1) estructuras tergales en T-3 y T-4 (ausente en Calayotlus ); 2) paraproctos y estilos más simples (muy modificados en Calayotlus ); 3) R2d lamelar (espinoso en Calayotlus ); 4) hembras con el borde posterior de la lámina supra-anal redondeado (truncado en Calayotlus ).
Composition and distribution. 43 species distributed from USA to Argentina ( Beccaloni 2014).
