Material examined: Serbia: “Kazan, 17.5.1871 ”; “ Syntype Empis leucopeza Loew Conf. A.C. Pont 2001 ” ( 1 ♂, 1 ♀, ZIN) .
Distribution. Palaearctic: Europe: Czech Republic, Germany, Serbia, Switzerland.
Remarks. Loew (1873b) described this species as Empis leucopeza based on the material collected by F. Kowarz from Kazan of Serbia ( Pont 2011).
