A medium-sized (6.0– 8.5 mm) species. Globally the family consists of around 11 species belonging to three genera ( Andrade, 2011). The species is easily diagnosed with following combination of characters and illustrations provided: with elongated and glossy dark body, unmarked wings and reddish femora; hind femora swollen and provided with two rows of spines on the ventral surface.
