Saprolochus tambopatae Stebnicka & Galante, 2007 View in CoL
( Figs. 8–9 View FIGURES 7–9 , 12, 16 View FIGURES 10–16 , 19, 22, 25–26 View FIGURES 17–26 )
Material examined. Female : Colombia: Leticia, Amazonas, 700 m., 9.vii.1970, leg. H. & A. Howden (in ISEA) .
Supplementary description. Body length of studied specimen: 2.9 mm. Posterior angles of pronotum, between anterior and basal tooth, with very weak lobe in dorsal view ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 17–26 ), weakly sinuate in lateral view ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 17–26 ). Surface of elytral humeral callus ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 17–26 ) shiny, with weak microreticulation, with very dense, fine, irregularly distributed, punctures frequently merging.
Comment. The supplementary description includes the shape of unique features useful when distinguishing S. tambopatae from newly described species. The specimen studied is labelled “ paratype ” ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 17–26 ). However, it is not a true paratype - for reasons unknown to the authors, it was not included in the description. Thus , this is the first report of this species from Colombia .
