Maesa lineolata H.R. Fletcher (1936: 43) View in CoL

Type:— THAILAND. Wangka, Kanburi (Kanchanapuri) , 200 m, 12 Feb. 1926, A.F.G. Kerr 10496 BM (Lectotype designated here: ( BM 000997061 digital image!), Fig.1 View FIGURE 1 ; Isolectotypes: BK ( BK 257226 digital image!) , K ( K 000756251 digital image!) , E ( E00284652 digital image!) .

Nomenclatural Note:— Fletcher published the name M. lineolata in 1936 based on Kerr’s collection from Wangka of Thailand. There are four sheets with Kerr collection number 10496 available in BK (BK 257226), BM (BM 000997061), E (E00284652) and K (K 000756251) and all the sheets containing hand written name of M. lineolata by H.R. Fletcher. He also written on the label as type in sheet number K 000756251, co-type in sheet number E00284652 and without mentioning typification details on other two sheets (BK 257226; BM 000997061). The typification of the name M. lineolata by Fletcher is ambiguity. Hence, single sheet with the barcode number BM 000997061 selected as lectotype, since it is consists of single material, well preserved as well as having key identification information including entire leaf and inflorescence. Other collections housed at BK (BK 257226), BM (BM 000997061) and E (E00284652) selected as Isolectotype according to the Article 9.17 of ICN ( Turland et al. 2018).
