DIOLI et al. (2021) reported a record of
Nariscus spinosus (Burmeister, 1835) View in CoL
( Heteroptera : Alydidae ) from Gran Canaria, stating that it was the first one of this species for the Canary Islands. Furthermore, VAN DER HEYDEN (2022) reported a record of N. spinosus from Fuerteventura as the first one for that island. Both statements are incorrect as the first record of N. spinosus for Fuerteventura , and thus for the entire archipelago, had previously been reported by RIEGER (2020), based on one specimen collected in 2012.
