Piezodorus teretipes (Stḋl, 1865)
( Heteroptera : Pentatomidae ) was reported by AUKEMA et al. (2006, 2013) for the islands of La Gomera, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. ROCA-CUSACHS et al. (2020) added the island of La Palma to the list of its distribution on the Canary Islands. The species is present on the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, too: On 28-01-2014, 30-10-2022 and 12-11-2022, adult specimens of P. teretipes were found in several locations on Tenerife: in Los Gigantes, in Puertito de Güímar ( Fig. 3 View Fig ) and in Mesa del Mar. Photos of the found specimens were uploaded to the online database iNaturalist (see here, here and here). Furthermore, on 28-10-2022 an adult specimen of P. teretipes was found in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital of the province. Photos of the specimen were uploaded to the online database iNaturalist (see here).
