Notes: Currah et al. (1990) introduced the name ‘ Moniliopsis anomala Burgeff ex Currah , sp. nov. ’ accompanied by a description and citation of a ‘neotype’. According to Art. 46.4, the name should be attributed to Currah alone, even though it was an attempt to validate ‘ Rhizoctonia anomala Burgeff’, because Burgeff’s name was introduced in a different genus. Even though the name R. anomal a has been used in the literature, it is not valid. Therefore, we here create the valid combination R. anomala by formalising the transfer of M. anomala to Rhizoctonia .
