Lectotype (designated by Woodson in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 38(2): 139. 1951):— BRAZIL. Pará: Óbidos, Serra da Escama , 22 Sep 1910, A. Ducke s.n. [A. Notes — Ducke (1922) validly published A. duckei discovered by Huber (1910) after presenting Huber’s diagnosis ( in sched.) along with other information. He attributed to Huber the species authorship ( Ducke 1922).

Among the five gatherings indicated in the protologue of A. duckei, Woodson (1951) cited “Ducke 11040” ( Ducke s.n., herbarium MG No. 11040) as the type. Since the number “11040” corresponds to a voucher of a single specimen in MG (MG barcode MG011040), as explained by Ducke himself in the publication’s introduction: “The specimen numbers cited in this work refer to the Museu Paraense, whenever there is no special indication” (“La numération des spècimens d’herbier cités dans ce travail se refère a l’Herbier Amazonien du Museu Paraense, chaque foi qu’il n’y a pas d’indication spéciale.”; Ducke 1922, p. 19), we understand that Woodson (1951) performed the lectotypification of A. duckei .
