A juvenile individual ( Fig. 9 View Fig ) found severed in two at Horqueta (23°19’41’’S 57°03’05’’W), Concepción department by Nelson Vera on 3 February 2022 is the first record for the department. It is the only member of its genus that occurs in the Oriental region of Paraguay, where it is rarely reported ( Cacciali 2024). The   GoogleMaps species has been previously reported from Alto Paraná, Amambay, Caaguazú, Canindeyú and San Pedro departments ( Waller, Micucci, Buongermini Palumbo, 1995; Cacciali et al., 2016b). It   GoogleMaps is considered to be “Endangered” in Paraguay ( Martínez et al., 2020c).
