Recent taxonomic treatment: Zonstein et al. (2016).

Remark: Other populations of the species outside South Africa likely belong to other species, possibly D. helveolus (Simon, 1910) (described from Botswana) and D. albooculatus Lawrence, 1927 (described from Namibia).
