Material examined. CHINA: 1♂, Tiejiashu, Taibai Mountains , 1993m, 33˚51ʹN, 107˚50ʹE, Zhouzhi County, Qinling Mountains , Shaanxi, 18.VIII.2014, HC Liang .

Distribution. China ( Shaanxi), Japan ( Hokkaidō, Honshū, Kyūshū), Russia (S. Far East).

Diagnosis. This species can be diagnosed by the key to Old World species of Phyllomya in Shima, Zhang and Tachi (2022). Body length: 6.4–11.1 mm. Vertex about 0.21 of head width in male of Chinese specimens. no proclinate orbital setae in male, 2 in female; arista short plumose. Whitish hairs on fronto-orbital plate, parafacial, pleural region of thorax, coxae, ventroproximal portion of femora, 1st abdominal sternite and venter of syntergite 1+2. 1 presutural and zero postsutural acrostichal seta; Tegula and basicosta black; costagial setae long and strong, at least one of them extending well beyond humeral vein; base of vein R4+5 with only a few fine setulae. Legs black; fore claws and pulvilli as long as 5th tarsomere; mid tibia with 2 anterodorsal, hind tibia with 3 preapical dorsal setae. Abdomen nearly cylindrical, with a row of marginal setae on syntergite 1+2 to 5th tergite; syntergite 1+2 not excavated to posterior margin, without median discal seta, 3rd to 5th tergite each with 2 median discal setae.
