Taxonomic notes. Examining a series of P. itys specimens, including the holotype of Zeuzera itys Druce, 1911 and the holotype of S. rudloffi , the authors have established the conspecificity of all the studied specimens, and the minor differences in the wing pattern in the series of species are regarded as an intraspecific variability. Additionally, the genital structure characters (see diagnosis of Psychonoctua and Schreiteriana ) show the relationship closer to P. personalis , than to S. pectinicornis ; in connection with this, the species is now considered in the genus Psychonoctua Grote, 1865 .
