Remarks: This species is widespread throughout Europe and North Africa, occurring also in Madeira Island and Azores Archipelago ( Lorenz 2021). It is a common species in Madeira Island under the bark of trees (particularly Eucalyptus globulus ) and on lichens. The single adult specimen sampled was found beneath a stone in Castanheira. It is a new species record for the Desertas Islands.
