Remarks: A widespread species throughout the Palearctic Region, including northern Africa, Minor and Central Asian countries ( Lorenz 2021). In Macaronesia, the species seems to be restricted to the Madeira Archipelago ( Serrano & Boieiro 2008). It is a common pratincolous ground-dwelling species, only recorded from dry meadows, where is often found beneath the stones.
