Material examined: DG: Planalto Sul, 27.IV.2011, 2 males, 1 female, DS, A. Serrano et al. leg., ASC ; BU: Bugio Sul, 27.IV.2011, 1 male, 2 females, DS, A. Serrano et al. leg., ASC .

Remarks: The species was recorded for Deserta Grande (Chão da Doca) by Wrase (2009), making it the first record of the species for Portugal. The species presents a distribution throughout North Africa ( Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco), Madeira ( Deserta Grande ) ( Lorenz 2021) and Canary Islands ( Machado 1992). Another Cymindis [ Cymindis ( Cymindis) suturalis pseudosuturalis Bedel ], found on the Canary and Madeira Archipelagos ( Lorenz 2021), is also known from Deserta Grande ( Table 2). The adult specimens were found beneath stones. This is the first record of this species for Bugio.
