( S. grandiflora L. ):
Often relatively robust. Bracteoles broadly elliptical and usually fringed with long hairs. Marginal radiate petals very conspicuous. Styles 4-6 times as long as the stylopodium. Beak longer than the seed-bearing part of fruit. Balkan peninsula and Aegean region; Italy; naturalized in France.
