Puberulent perennial up to 30 cm. Leaves (1—)2—3 cm, orbicularovate or oblong, obscurely crenate. Taxa which are probably related to 67 and 68 are V. heterophylla Bertol. subsp. euboea (Halâcsy) W. Becker , Beih. Bot. Centr. 26(2): 326 (1910), from E. Greece, and V. cephalonica Bornm. , Mitt. Thür. Bot. Ver. nov. ser., 37: 50 (1927), from W. Greece (Kefallinia). It is possible that V. orbelica Pancic , Magyar Bot. Lapok 32: 9 (1933), from S. Bulgaria, should also be placed here; it has been thought to be related to 78(c), but an unconfirmed chromosome count of 2n = 20 suggests relationship with 68.
