Rather compact perennial usually less than 3 cm. Lower leaves subrosulate, orbicular to ovate, usually markedly crenate; lamina equalling or shorter than petiole. Stipules pinnately divided, with 1-2 linear or oblong segments at each side, usually at the base, and a terminal crenate segment which is usually bigger than the lateral. Flowers 2-4 cm; petals wide, like those of 48, yellow or violet. Spur 2-6 mm, 2-3 times longer than the calycine appendages. • Appennini . It.
