Perennial; stems up to 30 cm, erect or ascending, much-branched, woody at base, puberulent. Leaves 2-6 mm, sparsely or densely puberulent on both surfaces, with a white crust or powder which usually does not completely cover the surface; margins revolute. Flowers in dense terminal cymes. Calyx 2-3 mm, sparsely or densely puberulent more or less throughout, with hairs c. 0-1 mm. Petals 4-6 mm, pale purplish. Saline places. S. Spain. Hs. (A. Africa.)
