(C. emeroides Boiss. & Spruner): Peduncles longer than the leaves; heads up to 8-flowered; segments of the legume subterete. S.E. Europe, E. & S. Italy.

Plants from Italy and N. Jugoslavia are often intermediate between the two subspecies.
