Subgen. Hypoglottis Bunge. Perennials ;

hairs simple (rarely a few hairs medifixed.) Leaves imparipinnate; stipules connate for of their length, forming a sheath round the stem opposite the petiole. Flowers subsessile, in dense heads. Calyx not inflated in fruit, the mouth not oblique.
