Perennial. Flowering stems 5-10 cm, pubescent with subappressed hairs. Leaves digitate; leaflets usually 5, 7-12 mm, obovate, truncate and 3- to 5-toothed at apex. Flowers usually 1-3. Sepals oblonglanceolate; epicalyx-segments narrowly linear, slightly shorter than sepals. Petals 9-10 x 6-8 mm, white, broadly obovate, emarginate, much longer than sepals. Filaments filiform, glabrous. Style reddish. 2« = 42. E. Alps; mountains of W. Jugoslavia and Albania. Al Au Ge It Ju.
