Polygamous or dioecious. Evergreen trees or shrubs. Leaves pari- pinnate; stipules minute, caducous. Flowers in short axillary racemes. Calyx with 5 short, caducous teeth; petals 0; stamens 5. Legume linear-oblong, compressed, indéhiscent, with a sugary pulp between the seeds. Seeds numerous.
