Like 18 but not more than 5 m, and usually a shrub; bark not aromatic; leaves dull, with very acute and more patent teeth; lateral veins 8-11, conspicuous and distinct; calyx deciduous; fruit dark red. Planted on a small scale and occasionally naturalized. [Cz Ga Rs.] (E. North America.)
