Ctenitis nervata (Fée) R.S.Viveros & Salino, Brittonia View in CoL 69: 320. 2017.
= Aspidium nervatum Fée, Cr. Vasc. Br. View in CoL 1: 136. 1869.
Range: —Southeastern Brazil, Bolivia (LP, SC).
Ecology: —Uncommon; terrestrial in montane forests, sometimes secondary forests; 900–1500 m.
Notes: —This name was unplaced by Christensen (1913), and surmised to be perhaps the same as C. pedicellata (Christ) Copel. , from southeastern Brazil, a name that has previously been applied to several Bolivian specimens by Smith ( Smith et al. 1999); Ctenitis nervosa has recently been resurrected ( Viveros & Salino 2017). It is related to C. submarginalis , and differs by the dark brown, almost blackish costae and rachis scales that are somewhat bullate at their bases, broader segments ( 6–8 mm wide at their base), stalked ( 3–5 mm) pinnae, and generally fewer (12–15) pinna pairs.
