Type locality. South Africa, Western Cape Province, Cape Town, Rondebosch .
Material examined. SOUTH AFRICA: Western Cape: 3 ♂, 3 ♀: Table Mts. NP , Cape Peninsula, Olifantsbos , 34°15.3’S, 18°23.1’E, 11.x.2013, J. Janák lgt. ( TMSA, JJRC) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. The species is hitherto recorded only from Cape Peninsula ( Western Cape province).
Remark. The new record is the first record after at least 80 years, the specimens were collected by treading in wetland in low fynbos in October 2013 ( Fig. 71 View FIGURES 67–72 ). Eight years latter ( October 2021) the record was not repeated, but three different Stenus species were collected in this locality ( S. hessei , S. capicola , S. cf. grandipennis ).
