Distribution. Armenia, Azerbaijan ( Nakhchivan AR) ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 ); Turkey, Iran.
Trophic relationships. Males were collected in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan at flowers of Helichrysum arenarium subsp. rubicundum (K. Koch) P.H. Davis & Kupicha (≡ H. rubicundum (K. Koch) Bornm. , Asteraceae ). Species of the family Asteraceae are common forage plants for several Afrotropical species of the genus Jugurtia ( Gess 1996; Gess & Gess 1989, 2010; Gess et al. 1997) and were also recorded to be visited by one Palaearctic species, namely J. oraniensis (Lepeletier) in Algeria ( Bequaert 1940). However, trophic relationships of Palaearctic species of the genus Jugurtia with forage plants are poorly investigated and require a detailed study.
