Material examined from Ukraine: Kyiv Region: Irpin env., 50.51N 30.26E, road in mixed forest along the railway, on trunk of Quercus robur , 1.06.2018, 1 ♂; Kyiv: Muromets Is. on Dnipro River, 50.52N 30.55E, 18.05.2016, on sap of Populus nigra and Quercus robur , 4 ♂, 26.05.2016, on sap of Populus nigra , 2 ♂ (A. Prokhorov); Theophania Park, 50.34N 30.48E, 22.06.2016, on sap of Quercus robur , 1 ♂ (G. Popov).

Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine; Transcaucasia, Turkey ( Peck, 1988; Dirickx, 1994; Holinka & Mazánek, 1997; De Groot & Govedič, 2008; Mielczarek, 2009; Reemer et al., 2009; Borodin & Borodina, 2014; Popov & Romanov, 2014; Saribiyik, 2014; Van Steenis et al., 2016; Speight, 2017).

Notes. As a rule, the species is found on sap runs from deciduous trees.
