Only the pelvic girdle of Wonambi naracoortensis is known, and it consists of three co-ossified elements ( Fig. 2G). No acetabular fossa is present laterally; therefore, it is unlikely that the snake retained hindlimbs, although the presence of hindlimbs might have been a sexually dimorphic character. If so, the only known pelvic girdle might have belonged to a female ( Palci et al., 2014).
