Range: — Endemic to Bolivia ( LP) ; known only from the type collection ( Jiménez 825, LPB). Ecology: —Rare ; epiphytic among mosses in humid forest; 2150 m. Notes: —Differs from Selaginella cavifolia by its more broadly ovate, shorter, lateral leaves ca. 1.5 times longer than wide (vs. narrowly ovate, 2+ times longer than wide), relatively larger, more strongly acuminate dorsal sporophylls (vs. acute), and smaller megaspores 250–280 μm ( vs. 300–360 μm) in diameter.
