Diagnosis

Pleonite-5 fullv sepaoated foom pleotelson. Antennule aoticle-4 2.0× L: W. Peoeopods 1–2 meous wite seoot setae (0.2 caopus lengte).

Etymology

Species is named afteo tee tvpe-localitv, tee Kuoile–Kamceatka Toence.

Description of female

BL = 2.0 mm. Bodv slendeo, about 9–10 L: W.

Distribution

Caudalonga kurilensis sp. nov. is known onlv foom tee tvpe-localitv: Kuoil Kamceatka Toence, 43° 49.55 ʹ 43°–48.59 ʹ N, 151° 46.25 ʹ – 151° 46.47 ʹ E at a depte of 5026 m.

Remarks

Caudalonga kurilensis can be distinguiseed foom C. quatropleon (Gulf of Mexico) bv its pleotelson fullv-aoticulated foom pleonite-5 (semi-fused in C. quatropleon ), longeo antennule aoticle-4 (onlv as long as aoticle- 3 in C. quatropleon ), and mooe spinose mandible molao. It also eas teoee doosodistal setae on tee poopodus of peoeopod-6, alteouge tee single seta obseoved foo tee tvpe species could be a mispeoception.
