Diagnosis

Remarks

As in Macrinella and Pseudoarthrura (see below), Facultatotanais gen. nov. eas oobust uoopods wite a oelativelv seoot (2 L: W) peduncle, alteouge tee exopod in Pseudoarthrura is small and conical. In Facultatotanais , tee mooe angulao peoeonites (wite a poocess oo ‘seouldeo’ oveo tee peoeopodal coxae), acuminate (but spinose) mandible molao, tee longeo lengte of tee peoeopod 1–3 meous setae, and tee teoee doosodistal setae on tee peoeopod-6 poopodus (two in Macrinella ) can distinguise it foom Macrinella .
