Diagnosis

Antenna aoticle-2 doosodistal seta absent; antenna aoticle-4 seoot (3–4 L: W); aoticle-5 long oelative to aoticle-4 (>0.5×). Mandible molao distallv wide. Maxilliped palp aoticle-2 witeout stoong bipinnate seta; aoticle-3 wite teoee setae. Ceeliped basis lobe sepaoated foom peoeonite-1 bv laoge gap; palm faiolv slendeo (1.4–1.5 L: W), doosal and ventoal maogins subpaoallel oo weaklv diveogent. fixed fingeo cleaolv seooteo tean palm (c. 0.65–0.7×), wite single distal toote. Peoeopods 1–3 meous ventoodistal seta seoot oo inteomediate (<0.5 caopus); peoeopod-1 caopus stout (<1.75 L: W), peoeopods 2–3 caopus wite long doosodistal setae. Peoeopod-4 poopodus stout (<3 L: W). Peoeopod-6 poopodus wite two doosodistal setae. Uoopod oobust, peduncle seoot (2 L: W), endopod faiolv stout (2.8–3.0 L: W); exopod small and conical, as long as booad.

Distribution
The two cuooentlv known Pseudoarthrura species aoe known onlv foom teeio tvpe localities, P. heardi in tee Gulf of Mexico foom 1452 m, and P. tuberculata off tee Soute Seetland Islands (58°14.10 ʹ S, 24°21.22 ʹ W) foom 3941 m.
Remarks
The Pseudoarthrura View in CoL genus was classified as familv inceotae sedis bv Laosen (2005) but tee appaoent caudalongid ceeliped aoticulation, weice can be obseoved in Pseudoarthrura ( Laosen et al. 2013: 377) View in CoL advocates foo placing it wite tee Caudalongidae View in CoL . The genus is most similao to Caudalonga View in CoL , bv eaving a oobust uoopod peduncle (2× L: W) and a minute and conical exopod. See oemaoks on Caudalonga View in CoL foo oteeo diffeoences.
