Material examined. Queen and workers, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, near BT02, 2 Aug 2017, W. Wang leg., WW-SG17-030, ZRC _ ENT00000986 View Materials ; MacRitchie Reservoir, 9 Jan 2014, Sk. Yamane leg., ZRC _HYM_0000383- 384; Upper Peirce Reservoir, 10 Jan 2014, Sk. Yamane leg., ZRC _HYM_0000385 .

Material not physically examined. Unknown.

Literature. None. New record.

Localities. Bukit Timah Nature Reserve; MacRitchie Reservoir; Upper Peirce Reservoir.

Habitat/Ecology. This species was found in primary forest, and close to walking trails in old/ mature secondary forest. A nest was found in soil at the base of a large tree in primary forest. Individuals were often collected from leaf litter.

Remarks. Most specimens examined for this checklist were originally identified as ‘ Monomorium talpa ’ – now a junior synonym of S. australica .
