Type: — CHINA. Sichuan Province, Aba Prefecture, Hongyuan County (N 32°87′62″, E 102°60′78″), horse dung, July 8, 2022, Wen-Xiao Sun, holotype ZY H-22.086, ex-holotype ZY 22.086, ibid. ZY 22.087.
Colony on PDA fast-growing, more than 90 mm, fluffy, flocculent, aerial mycelium sparse, mouse grey to concrete grey; reverse mouse grey to concrete grey. Colony on MEA fast-growing, more than 90 mm, flocculent, aerial mycelium dense, pastel violet to white, reverse grey yellow. Micromorphology: Sexual morph not observed. Asexual morph : Hyphae branched, septate, hyaline, smooth-walled, 1.5–3 μm in diameter. Conidiophores branched, septate, hyaline, smooth-walled, the branches of often ending in a sterile cell. Conidiogenous cells hyaline, smooth-walled, polyphialidic: i) Conidiogenous protrusion papillate to cylindrical, 1.5 – 5.5 × 1 – 2.5 μm, apically with a flaring collarette opening that produces blastic conidia continuously, ii) Conidiogenous cells subcylindrical to lageniform, straight or curved, 9.5 – 18 × 2.5 – 6 μm, apically with a flaring collarette opening that produces blastic conidia continuously. Conidia aseptate, hyaline, smooth-walled, subglobose to dacryoid, 2.5 – 3.5 × 2 – 2.5 μm, often truncate at the base, apex rounded.
Etymology: —Named after the location of Sichuan Province, where the holotype was collected.
