Ecology: —Rare, known from three Bolivian collections; terrestrial in humid forests and along riverbanks; 1100– 1400 m.
Notes: —Differs from commoner P. camptophyllaria by its sparse, forked hairs with one setose and one clavate-glandular branch abaxially on the blade surfaces, forked paraphyses ( vs. simple hairs and paraphyses), fully anastomosing veins just inside the pinna margins, except at pinna apices ( vs. partly free veins), and longer petioles (1/4–2/5 vs. 1/8–2/5 of the leaf length).
