Range: — Trinidad, Guyana, Amazon basin from Venezuela to Bolivia (BE, PA), and Brazil.
Ecology: — Rare, known from two Bolivian collections: Krömer 1454 ( LPB) and Prance 8534 ( NY); epiphytic in humid forests; 150 m.
Notes: —Most similar to M. lycopodioides but with narrower, more coriaceous fronds. Additionally, the sori in M. baldwinii are submarginal and immersed ( vs. medial and usually superficial in M. lycopodioides ).
