Taraxacum balcanicum Rechinger (1934: 19 View in CoL , plate 7, fig. 2)

A name published on the basis of plants collected in Greece by K. H. Rechinger [fil.] in 1932, and H. Handel-Mazzetti in 1927. We have seen three syntypes belonging to the gathering Rechinger 3095 (G!, BP!); they are relatively well developed and may represent a species of T. sect. Bulgarica . We were not able to equate T. balcanicum with any taxon from Bulgaria.
