Remarks. Previously known only from North Carolina, the Dry Tortugas and the southern Gulf of Mexico ( Santana-Moreno et al., 2013), now reported for the first time from Panama and the Caribbean Sea [although the colour photograph in De Grave and Fransen (2011, p. 359) refers to OUMNH. ZC.2008- 14-064, which was also referenced in Santana-Moreno et al. (2013)]; associated with various sponges, 0– 20 m.
