Remarks. Widely distributed but relatively uncommon western Atlantic species, ranging from southern Florida to the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico, and further south to Ceará, Brazil ( Anker et al., 2012); lives in female-male pairs in a variety of sponges, 5– 73 m.
